How we verify
MomentScope tells you what it knows, and how well it knows it. These are the labels you’ll see.
Source status
Live means the provider reports the stream is live, or a permitted check confirmed it. Online · unverified means the address responds but we can’t prove it’s live. Offline means the provider says it isn’t broadcasting. Status unknown means we haven’t checked recently.
A status is only trusted for a short time. If a source hasn’t been re-checked recently, it’s shown as unknown, never as live.
Views and events
Official feed is an authorized feed tied to the event. Verified view was confirmed by a person or reliable evidence. Possible view is suggested from location and direction and isn’t confirmed. Nearby only means close by, with no claim it sees the event.
An event isn’t marked Confirmed live just because its start time has passed. Until someone confirms it, it reads “Happening · unconfirmed”.
Locations
Camera positions and directions are approximate unless marked otherwise. We don’t publish exact addresses, and sensitive locations can be shown with less precision or hidden.
Video
Video plays from its original provider. MomentScope doesn’t record, restream or host third-party video. If a source can’t be embedded, we link to it instead.
